Though the villa is a tranquil retreat where you can make a honeymoon-style getaway, there’s plenty in the area that’s worth exploring. The sights of Lucca and Pisa are 20 minutes or less from the property, and the beach resort of Forte dei Marmi is a 35-minute drive away. Florence and Siena are slightly farther, but still close enough for a day trip. For a truly local experience, don’t miss the Puccini Festival, an opera showcase each summer.
