Villa Tarquinio is set in the Tuscan hillside with sweeping views over the Chiana valley and over towards Cortona and Lake Trasimeno. The 5-bedroom / 5-bathroom villa has been beautifully restored to provide maximum comfort and space.

The ground floor includes a dining area with a fully equipped kitchenette, and a delightful living area with sofas and a fireplace, a sunken space that is both unique and cozy.

There is also one double bedroom and one bathroom with a shower on this level. A glass staircase leads to a mezzanine floor, where there is another living area that overlooks the ground floor. There are also three double bedrooms, two of which have en-suite bathrooms. One of these bedrooms has a mezzanine floor with a single bed, great for a child, as well as access to a terrace that overlooks the valley and the lake. One of the bedrooms has direct outdoor access. There is also a separate bathroom with a shower on this floor.

Next to the main building of the villa, there is an annex, a large space that can be used as a communal area for spending time together. It has a rustic, large wooden table with benches, perfect for group dining. There is another kitchenette, as well as a large fireplace that dominates the room, ideal for a cooking class or a cozy wine tasting with family or a group of friends. Connected to this space, there is another double bedroom and a bathroom.

The area surrounding the villa has beautiful flower gardens and well-manicured lawns, a large wooden gazebo, BBQ, and a wood-fired oven, perfect for enjoying an outdoor aperitivo or meal while taking in the breathtaking landscapes.

The swimming pool is completely natural, using lily pads and plants to purify it instead of chemicals. The removable glass roof built to cover the pool can easily be opened in the summer and closed again when it’s raining. The pool also has a hydro-massage area and in the evening the pool lights can be turned on, creating a unique and relaxing atmosphere.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

HEATING – Heating is available on consumption and must be paid directly on the spot to the owner or his/her representative before departing. Please note that heating in Italy, when not subject to restrictions by the local Government, is more expensive compared to other countries. If you look for a property in the low season, make sure to ask for an estimate of the heating cost. You may be asked a supplementary deposit for heating expenses.

WATER AND ELECTRICITY – Please note that most of the properties that we offer are not the typical purpose-built Mediterranean holiday villas. Most are converted farmhouses or former manor houses, full of character and history. Water shortages do occur; please use it sparingly during the summer months. At the same time, Italy is probably one of the few countries in the world where the government has introduced a system of electricity limitators to contain the national consumption. This means you must be careful when using more than one appliance at once because the limitator will shut the electricity off.

Cancellation

Cancel up to 60 days before your trip and only pay 30% of the total accommodation fees for the reservation.
Cancel within 60 days of the trip and the reservation is non-refundable.

All credit card holders must be aged 21 years and older at the time of booking. According to Italian law (ART. 109 – TULPS), the owners and/or managers of any touristic structure are required to register their guests with the authorities before allowing their access to the facilities. To facilitate the registration, process you will be required to provide complete contact details (name, last name, address, telephone number, etc.), a copy of the passport, and the authorization to hold these details by law (D. Lgs. 196/2003) on privacy protection, before you arrived at the property. This information cannot be used to promote, sell, solicit any service or product to you and is required only for the individual responsible for the rental agreement. For late check-in (after 8 pm) an extra cost of 50,00 euros is required to be paid in cash upon arrival.
