With a refurbished aesthetic to make it comfortable for the 21st-century traveler, this original Masseria is done up in shades of white with wood furnishing and flat rooftops that overlook the swimming pool with sun-beds for all guests a sports court and an internal court that hosts a centenary olive tree, and views of the scenic landscape until the Ionian sea. This house is perfect for those who appreciate architecture and sea lovers. The interiors of the property include a living room, a lounge bar, a breakfast/dining room, a gym, and a total of fourteen double bedrooms. Nestled at the edge of the small historic town of Apulia overlooking the Salento countryside and Ionian sea in the distance, this villa features a heated pool, a landscaped court with Mediterranean aromatic plants, and solarium areas on the flat roofs of the building. Set near a lush olive grove, it also comes with a veranda outside of the bar area. Its current owners embarked on a meticulous renovation in
2017, preserving the 16th-century architectural beauty of the Masseria and installing top-of-the-line appliances.

Home décor

The home design approached with research in the historical context, mixes designer furniture and restored elements with the original features that this property holds, resulting in an eclectic style with high-quality local stone and pristine white plaster. Vaulted spotless ceilings lend a lightful feel to the interiors. Elements of classic architecture are combined with contemporary touches, like a rooftop Jacuzzi, a gym in the vaulted mezzanine floor, a contemporary bar, and a furnished veranda on the outside.  Aesthetically, the property recalls traditional characteristics, as well as materials, including Leccese stone and limestone locally sourced in the 17th century, with ceramics and marble in the bathrooms. Decorative elements with pieces from Italian designers are placed alongside antiques and vintage finds from the owners like restored handmade Italian ‘Noce Canaletto’ elements. This location is very comfortable, with a laid-back aura and a unique vibe.

Swimming pool

Please take a few minutes to familiarise yourself with the swimming pool at your property. The below diagram is to ensure you and your guests’ safety whilst staying at the villa. In case of an emergency, please call your concierge immediately. The swimming pool is open and heated from May 1 to October 31, weather permitting. Please do not enter the pool with a copious amount of sun cream and/or tanning oil on your skin to avoid damage to the liner and/or protective layer and/or filters. It is forbidden to swim if intoxicated by alcohol or any other substance that may alter your judgment and physical capability. No breakable items, such as glasses, bottles, and similar are permitted around the pool. Children must always be supervised closely and, if under 9 years old or less than four feet tall, must always be accompanied by a parent or responsible person in a swimsuit, including in the water.
