The second you enter the beautiful gates of Lagartija, your eyes will be drawn to the huge Buddha bringing you an instant sense of peace in this incredibly private tropical paradise.

Looking to the gardens and main house, your breath will literally be taken away when you see Lagartija’s exceptional design in the form of eight Thai style pavilions clustered around a spectacular free form swimming pool. The pool which is one of the largest private pools in the world has an incredible floating dining pavilion. But the best part of Lagartija is without a doubt is its incredible location right on a beautiful stretch of private beach and the surrounding tropical gardens which comprise of 5 acres of beautiful flowers and plants.

The accommodation at Lagartija comprises of six bedroom suites in separate pavilions surrounding the main house which includes two master suites boasting incredible views of the sea. Bedroom suites enjoy large living areas which open to beautifully appointed bedrooms all with incredibly sleek and stylish en-suite baths with custom stonework and private outdoor gardens with rain showers. The two master baths are appointed with generous bathtubs carved from ivory travertine.

There is a spacious open-air living and dining room, contemporary kitchen, media room and office which open onto the spectacular swimming pool set in the canter of the estate with a floating dining pavilion. A short stroll from the main house is a flood-lit tennis court with pavilion and fitness center.

Staff: While staying at Lagartija, you will be personally cared for by our wonderful Butler, Housekeeper 6 days per week plus you will have our own private chef who will prepare your gourmet breakfast, lunch and dinner with a choice of international or Caribbean dishes, or indeed any menu to suit your palate.

Lagartija is truly its own piece of island paradise on a grand scale for all to enjoy. The estate was conceived as an escape for friends and families to come together in a relaxed, serene, elegant, beautiful, fun, sociable and secluded environment.

RATES

Nightly Room Rates are quoted in U.S. dollars, with maximum double occupancy per bedroom. Rates are inclusive of gourmet breakfast, lunch and dinner prepared by your own private chef or in resort restaurants; beverages, cocktails and house wine by the glass, afternoon tea daily, non motorized water sports, use of three tennis courts, two resort pools, fitness center, putting green, croquet field and daily children’s program.

CANCELLATION

Cancel up to 60 days before your trip and only pay 50% of the total accommodation fees for the reservation.Cancel within 60 days of the trip and the reservation is non-refundable.

HOUSE RULES

• No smoking
• Pets not allowed
• Check-in is 4PM > 7PM
• Check out by 10AM
• No parties with exterior visitors allowed
• No loud music, outside the predetermined time limits, by local authorities
• The guests must ensure that the property is returned in a presentable and tidy state. Villas Retreats reserves the right to reclaim any additional cleaning costs if the guests should not leave the property in the above-mentioned state.
